Roles

An overview of the three roles in Kaptive and what each one can do.

Kaptive has three roles. Each role is assigned per Workspace. A user can have different roles in different Workspaces.


Editors work with existing Content. They can open and edit Projects and Schedules in the Kaptive Editor and publish changes to Players that already have a Project or Schedule assigned.

Editors cannot create or delete Projects or Schedules. They cannot manage Players or assign Projects or Schedules to Players.


Managers have all the capabilities of an Editor, plus full control over Content and Players. They can create and delete Projects and Schedules, add and remove Players, and assign Projects and Schedules to Players.

Managers cannot manage Alerts or Workspace members.


Admins have full access to the Workspace. They can perform all create, read, update, and delete operations on Projects, Schedules, Players, and Workspace members. Admins are the only role that can manage Alerts.
